FC 2009!

I'm now sitting at the SFO airport after attending Further Confusion 2009.  All I have to say is that the con was a complete blast!  Good to see all the UK furs again, and got to hang out with my old friends as well.

Highlights are as follows:
  • [info]durandal2uk looks good in a zentai!
  • So does [info]badgerguy ! *winkwink*
  • Lots of fursuits bouncing around the hotel
  • Drinking and eating with friends
I want to say thanks to [info]lyctiger for letting me crash in his room, as well as getting a car for us to use!  Was good seeing you again!

Anywho, I'm going to go back to eating my airport lunch.  See you all at the next con, and I'll have the photos from the con up soon!

MFF is over!

Well, I'm sitting here at MDW (Midway Airport for those wondering).  The con was a complete blast as always.  I had an amazing time hanging out with old friends, and making some new ones.  Thanks to everyone for letting this lynx hang out!  I want to especially thank the con-staff for their amazing work that they did.  It couldn't of happened without you guys and gals!

More Australia Photos!

I have finally finished uploading all the rest of my photos from my trip to Australia.  Some more pictures of the blowhole (as it was more active that day), and tons of pictures of the Sydney area, including the Opera House, Sydney CBD, the bridge, and the Botanical gardens.  Enjoy!

Pics are here!

Back from Australia

Sorry I haven't made a post here in a while, but have been busy with life and work and such...

Anywho, I've just gotten back from Australia on Sunday. What an amazing country! Very beautiful area, really friendly people, amazing cities. The culture down there is a bit different then here. It's a lot more laid-back and relaxed then here. I loved it, and I want to go back!

I want to give my thanks to [info]aussiehusky  for getting me a seat for the Good News Week audience. He, [info]jayfear , [info]rob_wolven , [info]weasely , [info]atpaw , Enigma, and myself got to sit in the audience for this show. It was a complete blast!

And of course, I want to thank [info]atpaw  for letting fly down there and staying with him, as well as taking the week off. I had the time of my life being around you and hanging out, and enjoyed every minute of it.

Denver Auto Show Pics!

Back in late March/early April, Denver had it's Auto show. It's nothing like the ones in Detroit or Toronto, but it's decent. I have uploaded my photos onto my website. Check them out!

You rarely get angry and it takes a lot to make you angry, however you feel strong cravings and urges that you have difficulty resisting. You tend to prefer short-term pleasures and rewards over long-term consequences. You are an active group participant but usually prefer to let someone else be the group leader. You prefer dealing with either people or things rather than ideas. You regard intellectual exercises as a waste of your time. You dislike confrontations and are perfectly willing to compromise or to deny your own needs in order to get along with others, however you are not affected strongly by human suffering, priding yourself on making objective judgments based on reason. You are more concerned with truth and impartial justice than with mercy. Your sense of duty and obligation is average and although you are mostly responsible you can sometimes be unreliable.

Interesting. Somewhat accurate, but I do like intelligent conversations, as long as the person I'm talking to is intelligent as well.

PC Gaming and Tim Sweeney

Seriously, this guy needs to STFU...

Link to Story

In short, he complains about how the PC gaming is failing, and pointing to the fault that computers with integrated graphics are the problem.  Now while I agree with his statement, that is not a downfall of PC Gaming.  It's very easy to slap in a new graphics card into a machine, and volia!, you have a somewhat decent gaming rig.

The problem with PC gaming is that people like him try to make a game that is designed to work with consoles, and then port them over to a PC, and can't figure out why they suck.  Maybe it has to do with the fact that we're not running consoles, and we have TONS more power in our machines, to which we can have better graphics and such.

Or even better, people like him bitch about Piracy, saying it's the downfall of the industry.  So what do they do?  They install Copy Protection software that more penalizes the people who bought the game (i.e. Bioshock), and do nothing to stop the hackers from cracking the game.

I praise Stardock (the makers of Sins of a Solar Empire), as he has this to say about why they don't use copy protection:

The reason why we don't put copy protection on our games isn't because we're nice guys. We do it because the people who actually buy
games don't like to mess with it. Our customers make the rules, not the piratesPirates don't count. We know our customers could pirate our games if they want but choose to support our efforts. So we return the favor - we make the games they want and deliver them how they want it. This is also known as operating like every other industry outside the PC game industry.

Denver Zoo Pics!

Sorry I haven't updated this in a while, been busy with work, and hitting the slopes skiing.  I'll have some of those pics posted up to my furry gallery later on today I think.

Back in early February, we had some decent weather out here in Denver, so I decided to hit up the Denver Zoo.  I have an annual membership, so I can go as many times as I want, and not have to pay for each time.  While there, I took a few photos, including cheetahs, bears, penguins (I wish I had my flash for them, as it was hard to get any good pics), and a few other animals.  Please take a look, and let me know any comments or suggestions!

I had an amazing time over at FC!  Was great hanging out with everyone, and had an amazing time!  Still recovering from all the drinking and partying that went on, but it was worth it!  Was also good to meet [info]atpaw and [info]badgerguy as well.  Hope to see all of you next year if not sooner!
