Seriously, this guy needs to STFU...
Link to StoryIn short, he complains about how the PC gaming is failing, and pointing to the fault that computers with integrated graphics are the problem. Now while I agree with his statement, that is not a downfall of PC Gaming. It's very easy to slap in a new graphics card into a machine, and volia!, you have a somewhat decent gaming rig.
The problem with PC gaming is that people like him try to make a game that is designed to work with consoles, and then port them over to a PC, and can't figure out why they suck. Maybe it has to do with the fact that we're not running consoles, and we have TONS more power in our machines, to which we can have better graphics and such.
Or even better, people like him bitch about Piracy, saying it's the downfall of the industry. So what do they do? They install Copy Protection software that more penalizes the people who bought the game (i.e. Bioshock), and do nothing to stop the hackers from cracking the game.
I praise Stardock (the makers of Sins of a Solar Empire), as he has this to say about why they don't use copy protection:
The reason why we don't put copy protection on our games isn't because we're nice guys. We do it because the people who actually buy games don't like to mess with it. Our customers make the rules, not the pirates.
Pirates don't count. We know our customers could pirate our games if they want but choose to support our efforts. So we return the favor - we make the games they want and deliver them how they want it. This is also known as operating like every other industry outside the PC game industry.
